Senior Technical Analyst - Managing Backup Infrastructure

I am urgently seeking a Technical Analyst for a role based in West Yorkshire.

This large consultancy is looking for someone to manage the backup infrastructure across a number of different environments - all using different version of NetBackup, including NetBackup v7.0.1.

The successful candidate will be required to consolidate a number of different environments into one using NetBackup v7.0.1. You should also have some experience of utilising HP StorageWorks 9000 Virtual Tape Library and also HP StorageWorks ESL E-series robotic tape library.

In addition to this, the ideal candidate will be expected to provide Senior level support, supporting over 1000 locations comprising the administration of HP-UX servers and support/build a new suite of Red Hat servers within a physical and virtualized environment using VMWare.

The skills required for this role are as follows:

* Focused on supporting customer initiatives in the Backup and DR markets.
* Knowledge of VMWare use cases and productivity applications.
* Knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux knowledge including system administration, network administration, debugging and troubleshooting is desirable.
* Can present on the product and deliver the value proposition.
* Technical concepts needed to understand value/benefit of product.
* A minimum of 5 years of domain experience in the networking industry as an architect, systems engineer, or delivery engineer.
* Knowledge of at least one of the Backup and DR applications: NetWorker, Netbackup w/ OST, TSM, CommVault or Backupexec required.
* Specialized Knowledge of one or more of: IBM, Netapp, Quantum, Sepaton, Exagrid, Archiving Solutions, Exchange, Oracle, EMC, Informix, SharePoint, MS SQL, SAP.
* Can install, configure & manage, troubleshoot a controlled Proof of concept or production environment.
* Ability to integrate with other vendor's products.
