Senior Technical Accountant - Projects (IFRS 9)

Robert Half Financial Services is currently recruiting for a prestigious Financial Services firm based in the South West. This is an exciting position working with a project environment as the SME within IFRS & Treasury

The IFRS 9 Technical Accounting team requires temporary SME resource during the design phase, to support the permanent team in all the work required of it.

The IFRS 9 Technical Accounting team plays a pivotal role in this large corporate change programme and the role will be working as part of this small team of experts, but also collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Financial Services experience and experience of working within large projects/Programmes is a definite advantage
- Have worked previously on an Accounting standard implementation programme or Project
- Producing technical papers, presentations and other documentation.
- Analysis and design of financial and management reporting (eg notes to the financial statements, business performance MI).
- SME input to accounting requirements and design of processes and systems.
- Providing SME expertise to the IFRS 9 programme, as part of the Technical Accounting Team within the Finance division.

Required Skills/Qualifications :

- Experience of implementing accounting standards/financial accounting - Essential
- Treasury/Liquidity experience essential
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Proven influencing and relationship management skills
- Adaptable team player
- Commercial business acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
