I have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant to work for a major company based in Coventry.

This role is responsible for assisting the Senior Direct Taxes Manager in delivering key tax projects during the contract including corporate restructuring, IFRS transition and adhoc direct tax advice to the business. In addition the role will be responsible for the preparation of the UK corporation tax computations and returns for a number of companies, preparing tax information for quarterly and year end reporting, drafting responses to HM Revenue and Customs enquiries in respect of these companies and preparation of the year-end tax calculations for statutory accounts purposes. It is expected that the role will focus on particular businesses within UK and that the post holder will gain a good understanding of those businesses as part of their work

Main responsibilities:

* Manage and advise on the tax implications of the corporate restructuring.

* Advise on the tax implications of IFRS transition in respect of the Group's entities.

* Preparation of corporation tax computations and return forms for review by the Direct Taxes Manager, based on information supplied by the businesses.

* Input into the calculation of the quarterly payments on account for the group.

* Drafting responses to corporation tax queries raised by HM Revenueeducated to at least degree level

* Technically strong, with a sound knowledge of UK corporation tax and general corporate tax principles

* Ability to complete Corporation tax computations to submission and address HMRC and Internal Stakeholder queries/correspondence.

* Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.

* Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software and Abacus or similar corporation tax software
