Senior Systems Engineer Job

SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in BELLEVUE, WA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Senior System Engineer will support the hardware, OS and hypervisor infrastructure on our cloud services in a coordinated effort with storage, networking, and database & security staff as part of the integration with SAP.
- This project will span multiple quarters, will require technical knowledge needed to help install, update and remediate [Windows] [Linux] Servers as part of a larger server remediation project necessary to join Concur and SAP infrastructure standards.
- This individual will utilize proven standards within a technical framework along with people management skills to execute their daily work activities to ensure team success.
- Manage service requests applicable for day-to-day administration for Windows and Red Hat Linux Servers including the following: build/rebuild requests, event log monitoring and review, performance analysis, troubleshooting customer derived issues, Provide domain management

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Solid understanding of security concepts, principles and practices, including fundamental knowledge of OSI model
- Demonstrable knowledge in Windows and UNIX Scripting (BASH Shell) five (5) or more years
- Ability to distinguish between Application, OS and Network problems five (5) or more years
- Experience managing Windows, O/S Red Hat (RHCE) seven (7) or more years
- Experience implementing and maintaining system infrastructure components
- Excellent communication and documentation skills utilizing MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel and Visio
- Solid understanding of security concepts, principles and practices, including fundamental knowledge of OSI model
- Ability to perform after hours, shift work, and be on call during designated periods
