Senior Systems Engineer (Istar)

Senior Systems Engineer - Reading - To £50ph

An Engineer with a strong background in design, development and fielding of Navigation & Communication capabilities is required to join our clients Engineering department. Responsible to the Engineering Group Manager, you will become part of a team developing ISTAR products.
Familiarity with the application of System Engineering within the Development Life and use of modern SE Case Tools is essential.

Key Accountabilities

Requirements Capture:

*Elicitation of User Requirements
*Derivation of System & Sub-System Requirements
*Support to Requirements Reviews

System Architecture:

*Producing Communications related Architectures, Top Level Designs and Interface Control Documents
*Preparation of Requirement Specifications for communications Systems and Subsystems.
*Support to Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews

System Integration & Test:

*Provide system design knowledge to the ITEA team to support integration activities

Key Qualifications and Experience:

*Industry experience 5 years + in the design, development and fielding of Navigation & Communication capabilities
*Experience in a Systems Architectural or Systems Engineering role, familiar with the traditional systems engineering life cycle
*Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
*Willingness and ability to travel internationally (including Middle East)
