Senior Systems Engineer - Contract

SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER - 6 MONTHS - DEFENCE

(SONAR/UML)

A leading electronics and communications organisation is looking for Principle SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join a busy and progressive area of their business specialising in SONAR SYSTEMS.

Recent exposure to UML is required for this position.

The successful Principle SYSTEMS ENGINEER will be responsible for the following:

- Requirements definition and management.
- Interface definitions.
- Using cases analysis.
- Supporting UML design and test planning.

Skills and experience required.

- Systems engineering experience with a military or defence environment.
- Experience of working on medium to large software development programmes.
- Experience of requirements elicitation and management.
- Software application interface management.
- Engineering or relevant Degree qualified.

Advantageous skills and experience includes:

- Experience of working in the Sonar domain.
- Experience of using DOORS, Team Concert and Rhapsody.
- Knowledge of using case analysis and UML
- Understanding of MATLAB.
- Previous experience of writing proposals.

Candidates must be required to obtain UK SECRET clearance within a short timeframe.
