Senior Systems Engineer

A leader in Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals is in need of a Systems Engineer. The company, located north of Chicago, specializes in developing Medical Management Systems that will improve safety and increase patient care. The goal of the Sr. Systems Engineer is to provide support to the program and engineering team to identify risk management, requirements, and verification and validation.

The Senior Systems Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

- Provide systems engineering leadership by supporting systems engineers and reviewing, assessing, and mitigating program technical risks and issues
- Distribute tasks to Requirements Analysts or other Systems Engineers
- Assist in product definition by identifying patent opportunities, maintaining, program feature descriptions, and maintaining user and stakeholder needs
- Monitor product risk management by conducting risk assessments and providing updates
- Oversee product requirements by maintaining the Requirements Management Plan document, creating tracing at all levels, creating allocation of Design Input Documents, and reviewing content of subsystem level specifications
- System Verification planning and execution

The Senior Systems Engineer must meet the following requirements:

- B.S. in Engineering (Masters preferred)
- 6-10 years experience in Medical Device industry (0-3 years if Masters)
- Strong understanding of FMEA, Medical 60601, and Risk Assessment
- Excellent communicator, independent worker, team oriented
