Senior Systems Analyst Contract- Galway Ireland

As a Systems Analyst on this team, you will be responsible for gathering and documenting the business requirements for the product. You will play a key role in meeting end users and client's business needs, maintaining a reputation for delivering high quality data and services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with business analysts to understand business requirements and create system requirements documentation.
- Assist in the migration to new hardware (Linux x86) and software (Informatica PowerCenter 9.1, OBIEE 11g, Oracle 11g, OBI DAC 10.1.3.4) for the Workforce Information & Analytics application
- Assist in the implementation of key enhancements to WIA to support finance headcount and compensation reporting
- Work with developers to refine system requirements and contribute to the systems design of batch schedules, Informatica PowerCenter ETL routines, OBIEE metadata and interactive dashboards.
- Perform data mapping analysis
- Assist in building BI reports
- Assist in the coordination and execution of systems integration and user acceptance testing.
- Assist in the estimation, planning, and management of work within Agile Methodology
- Work closely with the project manager, product line architect, business analyst, developers, QA testers, and administration groups to understand requirements and develop appropriate solutions that are right-sized, and scalable
- Produce clear, concise design documentation and reviews to facilitate development and quality assurance testing
- Support quarterly and off-cycle production install validation
- Validate that systems implementation meets business and technical specifications and ensure that any issues raised during testing are addressed prior to migration into production and manage ongoing maintenance of the system and data
- Provide support of product and project status to management.
- Work effectively with a geographically dispersed team

QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of systems analysis experience within the IT field, financial services, or related environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Documentation of business processes and workflow experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high quality results.
- SQL expertise.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of IBM Rational suite of products would be advantageous.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and co-ordination skills.
