MUST HAVE SKILLS:

5+ years professional IT and Network Security experience.

NICE TO HAVE:

Certifications in Networking and Security (eg A+, CCNA, GIAC, Security+, CISSP, MCSE, etc.) Also nice if candidates have the ability to work with end users. Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a support role for a newly implemented NAC/802.1x system.

- Candidate will be required to support 2nd and 3rd level issues involving the full stack of technologies (direct end user support, switch level, client configuration).
- Candidate will be required to work directly with end user and various support teams and functions for resolution of complex 802.1x issues.
- Candidate will be required to provide independent troubleshooting, exceeding existing documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required; MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years professional IT and Network Security experience required
- Certifications in Networking and Security, eg A+, CCNA, GIAC, Security+, CISSP, MCSE, etc. desired
- Expertise in current Windows desktop and server required
- Experience at CCNA level with Cisco IOS and Networking Concepts (Switches, radius, 802.1x, wireless, etc.) required
- Proficiency with Cisco AnyConnect or any other supplicant software preferred
- Experience with Cisco ISE or NAC preferred
- Experience with PKI and Certificate Concepts required
- Thorough and systematic technical troubleshooting skills (Root Cause Analysis) required
- Ability to work tickets to resolution with external vendor required
- Must be able to work with cross function teams while managing multiple issues and tickets simultaneously
- Customer Service skills (end user focus), verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills (required)
- Expert ability to work independently and manage ones time

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide the testing, maintenance, and monitoring of 802.1x infrastructure, including coordinating the deployment of 802.1x components
- Refine existing and develop new documentation in support of 802.1x
- Resolve hundreds of connection issues related to 802.1x
- Work directly and indirectly with end users in resolving 802.1x issues
- Work with support teams in analysing profiles for printers, IP cameras, voice phones, etc.
- Master internal Change Management and Exception processes
