Senior Systems Administrator

Our Fortune 500 client located in St. Louis, MO is currently looking for a Windows Systems Engineer. This is an exciting role for individuals who thrive on high profile projects on the leading edge of infrastructure technology. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, has a passion for continual improvement and solving technical challenges through engineering, coding, and automation.
The successful candidate will join a cross-functional team working on building and automating internal software defined infrastructure. We want an easy button for everything! You'll be part of a smart, creative team that is doing groundbreaking work in this space.
Responsibilities:

- Design, develop and implement infrastructure and automation solutions
- Automate and orchestrate delivery of infrastructure solutions built within datacenters
- Contribute code to multiple automation projects
- Utilize engineering and programming skills focused on enabling a DevOps model
- Streamline deployment of infrastructure into consumable services
- Provide input on the future implementation of infrastructure with a strong emphasis on automation, security, scalability and resiliency

Qualifications and Experience:

- Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills at the System Engineer level; exceptional customer service, overall communication and technical writing skills.
- Must have sufficient technical depth to communicate with development and other internal organizations at a peer level;
- Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision;
- Ability to enhance the technical expertise of peers via the development of product training and team content development;
- Ability to apply technology to improve existing products and systems;
- Ability to actively participate in team support by proposing and implementing solutions;

Technical Requirements:

- Candidate must possess working knowledge of and demonstrated technical proficiency in:
- Windows Server and Microsoft Client Products
- Active Directory
- Hyper-V Hypervisor and Failover Clustering
- Solid understanding and use of PowerShell
- Solid understanding of Client Server, networking, and Internet technologies fundamentals
- Five or more year's industry experience with Microsoft products, effective learning skills, works well in a team environment, Strong problem-solving skills

Education:

- College degree, preferably in Computer Science, is required
- MCSE strongly preferred
- Will consider related field (or equivalent) experience.
