We are seeking a candidate who can ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer data center and PC environments. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all server hardware, operating systems, and applications software. In addition, s/he will analyze and resolve users' hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide users with training when needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage Servers, including email, print, SQL, application and backup Servers and their associated operating systems and software.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Ensure timely approval and release of all Microsoft software updates.
- Administer all software upgrades.
- Perform network server and data storage design and capacity planning.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for server resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of server component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Provide second level support within the bank for all core system issues and requirements.
- Create, maintain, or delete user accounts for Windows and other core user applications and access to confidential company files.
- Performs server and security audits.
- Performs system backup and recovery.
- Monitors and tests server performance and provides server performance statistics and reports.
- Back up support for inbound calls for technical support.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the team.
- Inspect server and communications wires and cables.
- Adhere to appropriate Risk Management Policies.
- Adhere to appropriate Compliance policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or equivalent and Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Information Technology or Computing and 5+ years computer networking experience
- OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved

Language Skills:

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors

Mathematical Skills

- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis

Reasoning Ability

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Computer Skills

- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software installation to include network systems and Microsoft software
- Extensive knowledge of VMware virtualization software, EMC storage management solutions, and Backup Exec
- Working technical knowledge of current server technologies, hardware, protocols, and standards, including virtualization, Storage Area Networks, replication and high availability
- Extensive technical knowledge of server and PC operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server (2003, 2008) and Windows (XP) Workstation
- Certifications in Microsoft Systems or other computer systems (MCSE, CCNP, CCNA, MCSD)

Other Skills and Abilities

- Extensive knowledge of the core systems for installation, user creation/modification/deletion and security resets
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
- Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws, including banking data security requirements and regulatory guidelines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
