Senior Systems Administrator
Lausanne, Switzerland - Contract 6 months - Start date 1st of July - Daily rate: 800 to 900CHF

As part of a development plan for an innovative FMCG company, SEC Recruitment is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator.
Description:
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Maintain virtualization fabric, LIMS/ELN, database, HPC cluster, data integration and other Servers.
* Expand scientific software environment for data analysts, bioinformaticians etc.
* Planning and making recommendations for future hardware, space, network and software needs
* Coordinate with partners on backup, job scheduler, HSM, disaster recovery etc
Involved in a team dedicated to strategic and innovative projects, you will contribute to its evolution through your dynamism, your communication skills and your sense of support.
Required Profile:
* Establish strong link with all bioinformatics, data analysts and developers at NIHS.
* Collaborate with IT staff at other sites as needed.
* 10+ Years' experience administering High Performance Compute clusters in Big Data environment
* Expert knowledge to configure and maintain Linux systems (Apache, tomcat, MySQL, etc.) in a multi-platform, multi-protocol production environment.
* Certification with at least one major Linux distribution preferably Red Hat
* ITIL certification and service management fluency
* Understanding of scientific computing
* Collaborate with external entities, with whom we exchange data and services.
* Collaborate with external specialists as needed
* Strong communication skills
* Team playing skills.
* Team Leader skills for small team of 1-3
* Can work under pressure dealing with multiple operational issues simultaneously
You have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and must be dedicated to a high degree of customer service
You should possess a positive attitude and ability to "think outside the box".
You speak English and ideally French and German.
