SENIOR SYSTEM SUPPORT SPECIALIST - BASEL - 100%
If you are a SENIOR SYSTEM SUPPORT SPECIALIST with extensive PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE, then you are THE person we looking for!
This very exciting opportunity is a CONTRACTING POSITION planned to START ASAP until the 12TH OF MARCH 2018 for one of the BIGGEST PHARMACEUTICAL PLAYERS based in BASEL.
The position:
As a Senior Systems Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of data management practices, standards, policies, procedures and protocols that assure ongoing data quality and integrity.
A key part of the Senior Systems Support Specialist's role will be to help manage external vendor partner help desk operations to ensure optimal support to internal and external end users and other partners and stakeholders. Using your excellent communication skills, you will oversee and guide the support to end users and will act as an escalation point for more complex inquiries and support requirements. You will also help ensure that more complex, unresolved issues or other inquiries follow the proper escalation process
You will partner with internal and external Business Partners to drive strategic alignment and continuous operational and delivery improvements.
You may also support managers with on-boarding, developing, and coaching less experienced staff member while contributing to a positive environment by encouraging mutual respect, engagement. You must also stay abreast of internal and external developments, trends and other dynamics relevant to the work of Systems Support Services. This includes participating in the evaluation of new systems or other technologies and related tools to ensure the best-in-class business systems and related tools.
You may also be called upon to complete other routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting. You will do this by following prescribed departmental procedures, practices and protocols and by using standardised reporting and communications tools/templates and other resources.
You bring for this role the following qualifications:
You will be educated to DEGREE LEVEL (BA/BSc or equivalent preferred) or advanced degree level in a related field.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATIONS, eg, PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP, are a great advantage. Extensive PROJECT MANAGEMENT, CLINICAL OPERATIONS AND/OR CLINICAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE across the software development life cycle in a REGULATED IT ENVIRONMENT, including REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONs development AND/OR USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING for computer systems will be an asset to this role.
You must be able to demonstrate PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH HELP DESK AND/OR USER SUPPORT.
A broad understanding of INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS, processes and issues in drug development, including EXPERT-LEVEL KNOWLEDGE OF GXP (Good Practices for quality guidelines and practices in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology or related industry), GCP (Good Clinical Practice), and related systems that support clinical trials and clinical operations processes will be greatly helpful within this role.
STRONG INTERPERSONAL, ENGLISH COMMUNICATION and INFLUENCING SKILLS are essential. You should be able to influence without authority and have proven experience building and CULTIVATING RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY PARTNERS AND STAKEHOLDERS, both internally and externally.
A proven track record of EFFECTIVE DECISION-MAKING will be a plus. You should be able to demonstrate that you have made good business decisions and have exercised sound judgment.
