Your Tasks

Thermal System:

Leading the SGEO Thermal System
Review and control of Thermal Requirements from system down to units
Support of SGEO System Engineering
Risk and schedule control for the Thermal Tasks
Collect and control of thermal interfaces between System and Thermal Subsystem and between Units and Thermal Subsystem
Definition of missing requirements and Interfaces by engineering experience
Review and control of the thermal performance of the Satellite Equipment
Verification Control of Thermal subsystem
Review an establish the SGEO Thermal Concept

Thermal Subsystem:

Technical and programmatic I/F to the subcontracted Thermal Subsystem
Control of the subcontractor activities
Review and control of the SGEO Thermal Subsystem design and performance
Perform case by case Thermal Analysis
Collect and control of Thermal Interfaces of the Thermal Subsystem
Definition and review of Testrequirements, Testplans and Tests
Verification Control of Thermal Subsystem
Review of Thermal Models

Your Qualifications

Degree in engineering with a major in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable qualifications
Several years of professional experience in space system engineering, especially in the area of Thermal System Engineering
Working knowledge of satellite thermal design techniques and methods
The ability to think on system level is essential
Experience in subcontractor management as well as in ESATAN
Used to work in an international environment
Strong problem solving skills
Good communication and negotiation skills in German as well as in English
