SENIOR SYSTEM ENGINEER IP - NETHERLANDS

1x -Senior System Engineer, fluent in English is needed in Hague, Netherlands  on contract basis for one of our client, a prestigious international Telecommunications company. Start time is ASAP. Work eligibility in the Netherlands is required for application.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Resolve incidents by register, analyze, co-ordinate and guard progress, update incident tickets
- Resolve incidents by co-ordinate 2nd/3rd line supplier support
- Resolve problems by performing root cause analysis and implement changes for Transport, IP Support & PS Core domain/services/elements
- Responsible for operational acceptance new systems/applications
- Responsible for the continuous performance of applications/systems by supporting performance management process with Transport, IP Support & PS Core domain/element specific investigations
- Responsible for operational acceptance new systems/applications
- Support and manage improve projects
- Coordination of tasks
- Implementing changes
- Knowledge share within team (WIKI updates, documenting workarounds, working procedures)
- Creates operational procedures for incident and problem management for 1st line departments
- Reports/presents progress reports on above topics
- Responsible for assessing, validating and accepting of the Quality of new releases, new features, new network elements etc. and their impact on the Quality the network.
- Define acceptance criteria and perform acceptance of new network elements and services integrated in live environment within projects
- Improve the KPI to achieve or exceed the Transport, IP Support & PS Core targets
- Monitor network and system performance.
- Pro-actively provide input for capacity and performance planning processes
- Proactively detects performance trends, identify reasons and propose corrective solutions
- Proactively takes actions meant to contribute the network perception improvement
- Offer adequate support (within SLA) on customer driven RFI&RFQ processes & operational Trouble Tickets
- Make sure the incidental capacity issues or network problems are addressed efficiently
- Proactively suggest changes in line with the guidelines set by the optimization teams in coordination with the radio design team
- Interface with the TMO organization that leads to tangible synergy (time-, cost efficiency)
- Leads E2E network service improvement task forces and projects
- Participate with expertise in various Transport, IP Support & PS Core domain oriented trials and projects.
- Coaching of Support and System Engineers
- Supports manager in organizing, planning and improving team
- 7*24 hour 2nd line support through on call supporting the field service organization if required

REQUIREMENTS:         

- At least (5-7) years of experience in mobile and fixed operational support organization within the domains of Transport, IP & Data
- Good understanding of mobile and ISP network architecture (GSM, GPRS, UMTS, IP, Internet)
- CCNP level or equivalent certification and for sr. approaching CCIE level or equivalent certification
- Experienced in ITIL processes
- Expertise in at least one or multiple of the following technology domains:Routers, Switches and remote access Servers, preferably Cisco, Huawei, Juniper)
- Network and routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, MPLS-VPNs, QOS, Traffic Eng. etc.
- Network security (IOS access lists, VPN Concentrators, Access Servers, PIX, IPS, CheckPoint FW-1, IP Sec etc.) preferably with Fortinet/Huawei
- Network and performance monitoring: Ciscoworks, Tacacs, Radius, MRTG, HPOV
- Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent level gained by experience, in Information Technology/Electronics/Telecommunications/Data communications Engineering
- Experience with ICT operations and maintenance support
- Be able to judge on operational acceptance complex new systems/applications
- ITIL
- Valid driver's license
- English language skills (good verbal and written)
- Team player
- Analytical and problem/incident resolution skills
- Operational awareness and ownership
- Discipline on process adherence, reporting and administration
- Be able to work under high operational pressure/stress
- Customer oriented
