Senior Support Engineer

ABOUT THE JOB:

We are looking for an experience Senior Support Engineer who has hands on experience p erforming desktop and laptop builds (from scripts) and also has the ability to build a mix of Win7 and XP desktops and laptops using a local SCCM build server. The ideal candidate will have their A+ certification, experience working with ticketing systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Active Directory, and 1-3 years of experience. This is a contract opportunity through the end of February 2013.

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

- Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups
- Provide software and operating system support for 2nd line Incidents and Requests
- Perform local data backups and restores
- Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems

REQUIREMENTS:

- 3-5 years of experience in a Desktop or Desk side support role
- A+ Certification highly preferred
- MUST have RECENT experience with Windows XP & 7, Microsoft Office Suite, and Active Directory
- Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong communication, organization and planning, work ethic, client facing and interpersonal skills.

This is a fast pace corporate work environment. Individual will be able to dress business casual. In this environment there will be a lot of customer service needed along with the fast-pace challenging setting. Will be times where this person will need to translate technical terms into non-technical language. This individual will be a part of a team, but in some circumstances will be required to work independently. Our client is a Global Fortune 200 company.

START DATE: ASAP

END DATE: 2-22-13 (Good Chance for Extension)

LOCATION: Newton Upper Falls, MA

HOURS: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

PAY RATE: $17-18/hr

It is required that all contractors complete a background check and drug screen report. They must pass a drug screen with a positive clearance and the background check without the following convictions on their record.
