Supply Chain Planner - Atherstone - 12 Month Contract £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Our client, a Global manufacturing company is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to be based in Atherstone on an initial 12 Month Contract.

To Assist with a SAP Implementation Project as well as supply chain planning, reporting and scheduling, Supply Chain process improvement, Inventory Asset Management and to manage the Supply Chain Product Flow.

Job Description:

Support the site SAP implementation. Includes BOM optimisation, data accuracy, system configuration, training others
Works closely with business unit/division to understand customer requirements and forecasts.
Analyzes short- to mid-term supply chain capacity to determine equipment loading and staffing resources.
Responsible for establishing procurement, manufacturing, and distribution plans, and executing them to meet current and future customer/business requirements.
Makes routine planning adjustments to assure schedule attainment. Coordinates phase in/phase out and/or new product introduction activities to maximize customer service and meet business requirements.
Reviews and recommends major supply chain parameter changes to management and implements agreed upon plan.
Develops and regularly reports supply chain performance metrics (cycle time, customer service, inventory level, etc,) to monitor progress.
Participates in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process as required.
Analyzes variability within the supply chain and establishes appropriate inventory buffer locations and levels for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods relative to customer service, inventory investment, and supply chain constraints.
Directly responsible for raw material in-process, and finished goods inventory levels for a specified group of products.
Defines and recommends to plant management the inventory approach that fits current and future business needs, and implements agreed upon recommendations.
Analyzes the impact of procurement intervals, production cycles, lot sizes, process waste, rates, replenishment quantities and intervals, etc., on variability and product flow, and adjusts supply chain parameters to meet customer and business requirements.
Continuously improves the manufacturing/supply planning process by maintaining data integrity and accuracy.

Required Skills:

Expertise in supply chain management concepts and strategies, constraint management, materials requirements planning and distribution requirements planning.
SAP experience Essential, experience training users on SAP is preferable
Applies business knowledge to ensure plans support business needs and goals.
Strong Analytical, Statistical, and planning skills
Demonstrates computer and database literacy, and possesses a working knowledge of applicable software and plant systems, including integrated planning tools.
The individual has coaching, interpersonal communication, and team leadership ability.
Demonstrates a general knowledge of product performance and customer requirements.
Initiates, leads, and implements the process of supply chain problem identification to resolution.
Advanced knowledge and application of supply chain methodologies.
Leadership, strategic planning, and facilitation skills
Travel will be required, you will be completing 4-5 weeks of training abroad and also travelling to sites to train on SAP.
