Senior Supply Chain Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:
(1) Primary responsibility for data collection, cleansing, validation reporting and analytics for SC metrics.
(2) Understand and monitor key spending trends, cost drivers, market factors geographic considerations.
(3) Support sourcing initiatives through category supply chain review, process mapping, and analytics.
(4) Participates in benchmarking surveys, provides analysis and summarizes findings, draws conclusions, presents recommendations.
(5) Maintain understanding of industry practices in area of supply chain systems and processes.
(6) Develop, maintain and report performance metrics, root cause analysis, cost modelling, financial analysis, price forecasting.
(7) Data collection, analysis, and reporting on process improvements.
(8) Analyze and report on the results of supply chain performance.
(9) Develop and implement reports and metrics regarding procurement activities.
(10) Development of monthly performance scorecards, highlighting achievements, performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
(11) Produces and analyzes SRM scorecards.
(12) Performs data analytics for medium complexity modelling efforts and initiatives.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
(1) In depth knowledge and expertise with performance reporting, financial analysis, building analytical models.
(2) Strong analytical and investigative skills. Able to translate management requests into effective reports and analysis.
(3) Solid understanding of business, financial principles, benchmarking, process improvement methods.
(4) Advanced level ability using PC desktop applications, high level programming or a demonstrated programming aptitude.
(5) Full understanding of purchasing and inventory systems experienced using data marts, data warehouses, E-commerce, working with IT systems and IT teams.
(6) Strong conceptual thinking.
(7) Ability to motivate and engage team members.
(8) Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
(9) Strong negotiation skills.
(10) Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills.
(11) Strong program, project mgmt skills and techniques.

IDEAL/STRONGLY PREFERRED:
(1) Benchmarking experience.
(2) 6 sigma/lean.

Education/Degree requirements:
BS/BA, MBA Preferred. Candidates MUST HAVE at least 7 years' experience. Financial Planning and Analysis experience within supply chain. Planning and Analysis experience within supply chain is important. Strong Excel and Access experience will be key.
