Senior Structural Stress Engineer - Edinburgh

Senior Structural Analysis (stress) Engineer - Edinburgh - Competitive MyEdinburghbased client are a successful leader in the renewables industry and currently require an experienced Senior Structural Analysis Stress Engineer to join their growing team. This position will require the successful candidate to lead the design and analysis requirements of this company's highly successful products. Key Responsibilities: - Strength & fatigue analysis - Design of components and fabrications using Solidworks to support design - FEA (Finite Element Analysis) of various components/fabrications using Abaqus software to support design & verification activities - Working with FMEA process for design development and risk based inspections Key Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years commercial experience in similar environment - Degree educated (preferably in Mechanical Engineering or similar) - Be flexible in your approach to working with a small, highly motivated team - Apply your knowledge to develop and continuously innovate Advantageous skills: - Exposure to design analysis using Finite Analysis Software - ideally Abaqus - Experience in advanced Finite Element Techniques for static analysis - Experience in CEL/ SPH/ CFD analysis to provide additional support to other engineering disciplines - Experience in design analysis of concrete (civil) structures - Experience of offshore fabrications (including design & contractor liaising) In return you'll be offered a highly competitive salary based on your previous experience.
