Senior Structural Engineer Job

SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER needed for a six month contract opportunity with the possibility of direct hire with Yoh's client located in Houston, TX.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Structural steel analysis and design.
- Perform engineering for concrete and steel structures such as footings, caissons, grade beams, columns, base plates, anchor bolts, beams, vertical and horizontal bracing for Industrial facilities.
- Supervise other engineers and designers, write scopes of work, develop estimates, and schedules.
- Will be working in a functioning chemical manufacturing plant.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed Texas PE.
- 8 to 12 years of experience.
- Must be familiar with latest design codes such as IBC 2006, ACI, and AISC.
- Must be able to supervise other engineers and designers, write scopes of work, develop estimates, and schedules.
- Must be able to perform engineering for concrete and steel structures such as footings, caissons, grade beams, columns, base plates, anchor bolts, beams, vertical and horizontal bracing for Industrial facilities.
- Proficient in Staad, Enercalc, PCA Mats design programs.
- Strong skills in structural steel analysis and design.
- Experience working in the chemical manufacturing industry.
