Senior Stress Engineer - £40000 - £50000

Job title: Senior/Lead Stress Engineer Location: Bristol Salary: £40,000-£50,000 + negotiable, pension ect.. Morson International are recruiting a Senior/Lead Stress Engineer for a leading engineering consultancy in the Bristol area. The company supports a range of Aerospace OEM's and Tier 1 suppliers. In this role you will work with a team of Stress Engineers performing Stress analysis on aero structures using PATRAN/NASTRAN, ISAMI and hand calculations. The first main project you will be involved with will be on the A350 composite wing structures. Ideally you will be educated to degree level in a related discipline (Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering) and will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of fundamental engineering principles with an emphasis on Aerospace and Stress Analysis. Key Accountabilities: * Deliver engineering solutions at a consistently high standard in line with Quality Management System * Maintain project documentation and write technical reports detailing work performed * Interact with customer engineering team on a technical level * Provide support to the Aerospace division development activities Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: * Stress Analysis experience (Aerospace would be a distinct advantage) * Degree in related discipline (Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering) * Experience of analysis software PATRAN, NASTRAN and ISAMI * Exposure to Airbus working practices (A350 projects would be ideal) * Knowledge of composite structural stress analysis would be an advantage Person Specification: * Ability to manage multiple tasks, to work independently when required, and the organisation and drive to obtain a successful outcome * Good organisational skills, including record keeping * Capability to work efficiently and accurately, with an attention to detail, and the discipline to self-check results Should you wish to apply for this excellent role please ring Reuben Jenkins on 01179 388 088 To find out more about Huxley Associates, please visit www.huxley.com
