Senior Staff IT System Specialist

Seeking a Specialist with a System Admin background who can adapt and adjust to challenges that require a wide varying knowledge base.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Looking for someone who has skill set of solving problems from the beginning to the end and can jump in the role quickly. Someone who loves to solve problems. The person must be a good fit for culture. That is mostly performance based and team oriented.
- A problem solver who is proactive (eager to learn and get their feet wet). The candidate must be willing to learn new technologies.
- The ideal candidate also is mostly focused on development and not System Administration in their current career path.
- Adapt and adjust to each challenge that requires a wide varying knowledge base.

REQUIRED

- Some System Admin background with 5 years of programming and developer skills especially in Java (However not looking for someone who is solely a developer or systems admin. Looking for someone that is a hybrid.)
- 5 years of Access and Identify management is our first type of candidate we are looking for.
- The qualified candidate should know how NTFS permissions works as an example. That is required to solve complex Identity and Access Management solutions involving file permissions. This role needs to interact with other System Admins with that knowledge set. The role must be able to speak the same language of NTFS permissions (in this example).
- JavaScript is the primary language as a developer (3-5 years experience)
- Must understand Access Governance.
- Must have Windows/Linux System Admin background. The role interacts with various teams with different disciplines.
- 3-5 years in programming background is a must.
- LDAP experience must have.
- Perl and/or Unix Shell Scripting. Or Powershell Scripting knowledge.
- Directory experience is good. Active Directory, OpenLDAP, E-Directory, Oracle Directory Services (OID). The key is to have integration experience various directories. For example, Active Directory to LDAP. Candidate must not be just focused one directory type. The role requires integration with various Directory, DBs, and other systems.
- Programming languages (should be able to pick up new languages when needed).
- SSO implementation knowledge is a good to have. SAML 2.0 experience is a plus.
- Ideal person would come from a small company in professional services, consultant who had to wear many different hats to solve a problem from beginning to end. That person must had to resolve many problems with very little resources available to them.
- Window Service Admin/Linux (Unix) experience is a good base knowledge.
- Agile Development understanding is a plus.
- Directory experience is good. Active Directory, OpenLDAP, E-Directory, Oracle Directory Services (OID). The key is to have integration experience various directories. - PHP experience is good, but must have some Java experience along with PHP.
