Senior Staff Geophysicist

SUMMARY
Responsible for providing senior-level guidance from a geophysical perspective; will be involved with multiple simultaneous complex projects; may serve as project lead on some projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Seismic interpretation and associated drilling guidance within horizontal drilling activities
* Subsurface interpretation to complement seismic interpretation in some prospects
* Supervise project-specific seismic data acquisition activities
* Supervise seismic data processing activities associated with particular opportunities
* Involved in reservoir characterization studies in various projects
* Involved in structural assessments of complex projects
* Stratigraphic analysis in particular project areas
* May be expected to provide interpretations of potential field data in non-developmental opportunities

EDUCATION, SKILLS, and/or EXPERIENCE

* Bachelors in Geophysics or closely related field such as Physics or Geology required;
* 8+ years recent experience in a geophysical role, with the majority of that working as interpreter with an oil and gas exploration company required; and
* Experience with at least one geophysical interpretation application.
