Senior Staff Accountant

I am currently looking for a Senior Staff Accountant for a 6 month contract role based in Cambridge.

The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years experience and will be responsible for supporting statutory accounting post the implementation of a new SAP ERP system. You should be able to work well in a high energy, fast paced team environment.

The main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Work on uploading statutory adjustments for the local books across a number of different International entities to the SAP statutory accounts ledgers.
* Review mapping of new SAP chart of accounts compared to local statutory book chart of accounts, and update mapping to ensure all local accounts used in 2014 are flowing correctly into SAP.
* Reconcile the Fixed Asset local ledgers in SAP to the Fixed Asset register previously maintained by external advisors across a number of International entities.
* Other ad-hoc accounting tasks as required.
* Apply Company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with GAAP, Internal Controls and SOX
* Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken, that establishes credibility and facilitates a cohesive working environment with employees from respective departments and entities

Education/Qualifications/Special Training

* University degree, with emphasis in accounting or equivalent work experience
* Fully chartered accountant or other recognized accountancy qualification preferred
* Prior experience in large public accounting firm a plus but not pre-requisite
