LOCATION: SAN DIEGO

CONTRACT: BEGINS 4/15/13

DURATION: 2 YEARS

Major Telecommunications Firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. SQL Server DBA with 5 years of experience and industry experience preferably to migrate SQL Server 2008 to 2012. Must have MS BI Stack, as well as strong data mirroring, replication, clustering, SQL 2008, and UNIX and Windows platform experience. Will be doing design, implementation, installs, tuning, and support and troubleshooting of the SQL 2012 high transactional environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5 years. of experience with SQL Sever is required.
- Knowledge of SQL server 2008/2012 is required, v2012 is preferred.
- Understanding of MS SQL server database, theories, principles and practices.
- Significant experience in SQL server development, data extraction and load processes.
- Strong SQL Server support and troubleshooting skills.
- Specific knowledge of OLTP, OLAP, ETL and reporting technologies.
- Significant experience in database redundancy strategies, and disaster recovery (ie Data mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping and Clustering).
- SQL Server performance tuning.
- SQL Server monitoring, at the physical server and database layer.
- Experience with MS BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
- Knowledge of Windows and UNIX platform.
