Senior SQL Developer - Edinburgh (33-37k)

A successful data & business intelligence consultancy based in central Edinburgh are urgently looking to hire a SQL Server specialist into their data team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work for an industry leading company, deal with a variety of household name clients, and to work with some of the best technical specialists in your field. You must bring strong SQL Server experience with you; any business intelligence or data-warehousing experience is an advantage but full training will be provided to any candidate who is lucky enough to secure this post.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join an ambitious company who are continuing to expand their Microsoft SQL Server & BI practise. With rapid expansion plans, the successful candidate could see themselves gaining a number of additional responsibilities as they establish themselves within the company.

The company specialises in business intelligence solutions for the public and private sector; creating & implementing BI solutions from the ground up, including the development of information portals, reports and dashboards, etc.

They are ideally looking for someone with excellent SQL Server development experience (i.e. T-SQL / Transact SQL - stored procedures, triggers, views, functions etc).

One of the most exciting aspects of this role is the opportunity to up-skill in MS BIDS - specifically:

~ SSIS
~ SSAS
~ MS SharePoint
~ MS PerformancePoint
~ Data-Warehousing

All training will be provided as part of the role, so this is a great chance to improve your own skill-set whilst helping my client provide a first-class service to their customers. Please note that although a "consultancy type" role, this position will not require extensive regular travel and is generally based on site in Edinburgh city centre.
