Senior Software Engineer - Web/UI

- BLEEDING EDGE UI TECHNOLOGIES
- LONG TERM CONTRACT ROLE - $700 - $900 PER DAY

This team of highly talented Web Software Engineers is currently utilising the latest web technologies to develop elegant, functional and performance code for their cutting edge applications. They are looking to bolster their ranks with a creative Developer who is not only a Front End Specialist but also has a flair for visual design and user experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- Creating applications with large numbers of users and dealing with the challenges that this brings
- Designing and delivering cutting edge online products for large scale websites. The more examples the better.
- Developing web applications with rich client interfaces using HTML5, AJAX, drag and drop, and other DOM Scripting techniques
- Responsive design techniques
- Developing for touch
- .NET and Microsoft Technologies
- Understanding of design patterns and why to use them
- Web Services (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC)
- Strong understanding of browser standards and compatibility best practice
- Expert JavaScript skills including frameworks such a JQuery for rapid prototyping
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen
- A good understanding C# ASP .NET
- A deep understanding of continuous delivery and automated testing and the value that these provide
- good understanding of branching and merging strategies and when it's appropriate
- You must be a team player; collaboration should be in your nature
- You should be comfortable working in an environment with a high degree of ambiguity
- You will be comfortable presenting new ideas and techniques to your peers and senior management
- keen interest in current and emerging web technologies and development frameworks

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

- Have a strong appreciation for the end user experience - with useability and speed being primary objectives

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

- Exposure to continuous delivery practices and principles
- Experience with Automated testing frameworks
- Experience developing for iOS and Android platforms will be highly regarded
- A strong understanding of software design patterns
