Senior Software Engineer - Spring, Linux, AWS, REST, Api's, XML, JSON

My clients looking to create a central platform for content enrichment services and processes. This will be built within the Amazon cloud infrastructure and will enable various tools to be executed over content that is ingested by our cloud-based content warehouse. The tools and the downstream processes will be orchestrated by a combination of custom code and AWS components. In addition, some apps may be built to visualise, administrate and perform experimental data science on the various enrichment capabilities that are integrated by the team.

- High competence in Server Side Java, including any well known web container (Tomcat, JBoss, Weblogic, WebSphere etc) and Spring Core
- Linux (basics)
- Test Driven Development (JUnit preferred)
- Web services, especially REST APIs (must have), AWS (need to have had some exposure)
- Core Java (should be expert)
- Should have used XML and JSON in previous projects
- Publishing background

DESIRABLE

- Behaviour Driven Development (Cucumber preferred)
- Exposure to WebSphere Application Server
- Experience with EJB
- Web development with HTML5 against REST APIs
- Experience of AWS services like SQS, and S3
- Experience of cloud deployment
