SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - RUBY, JAVA, SCALA - CONTRACT - AN INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL MEDIA COMPANY BASED IN DUBLIN CITY CENTRE IS HIRING!
EXCELLENT DAILY RATE AVAILABLE.
THE ROLE:
Building systems to manage my Clients Real Time data systems, and surface it in simple, well created interfaces. They are looking for engineers with an eye for detail in such areas as Ruby on Rails and Scala or JAVA Development.
These systems will affect users directly and indirectly.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Own the full stack, from storage to service to Front End
Build distributed systems using JAVA, SCALA, Mesos, Thrift, and Zipkin
Build tools using Sinatra, RUBY ON RAILS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
Proactively fix bugs and solve problems
Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility and debugging
Build high quality consumer web application interfaces.
Passion for elegance and simplicity. Build beautiful interfaces that fit the need.
Spec, design, build, deploy and maintain tools that are used throughout the company.
Work closely with other teams to determine pain points and design solutions to address them
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Extensive experience creating application with Ruby on Rails
Extensive experience in Scala (or Java)
Proven ability to collaborate with globally located teammates
You can provide a link to your github repo, personal projects, or technology blog - desirable but not essential
