JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer (Java EE/Media Devices)

LOCATION: Amsterdam, Holland

RATE - Euros 60 - 70 per hour

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 month contract

SUMMARY:

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for architecting, designing, and developing high quality, high volume, high performance, and highly available web services products that will be used by a massive number of clients. Using cutting edge technology you will be developing an advanced portfolio of applications for Conditional Access, Key Provisioning, Rights Management, Multi-Screen, Home Networking, Piracy-Control and Business Intelligence Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create and maintain architecture, design and process information
- Software development involving the creation of component designs, coding and unit testing
- Determining and presenting the new technology to be used in future
- Leading, coaching and advising to development team
- Working with Product Management team on detailed level user stories
- Estimation and planning

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Minimum of 7+ years OF OBJECT ORIENTED DESIGN (OOD) and Programming experience
- Minimum of 7+ years of technology experience with large data oriented systems development or equivalent
- Expert knowledge OF JAVA EE, JAVA SE and related technologies
- Proven experience with DESIGN OF FAULT-TOLERANCE AND LOW-LATENCY
- Proven experience with PAAS providers
- Hands on experience on high load and high traffic SERVICE ORIENTED ARCHITECTURE (SOA)
- Hands on experience of Design Patterns and Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Solid knowledge continuous integration and continuous deployment
- Solid hands on experience of web services (RESTFUL AND SOAP)
- Demonstrable TEST DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT (TDD) experience
- Experience with PYTHON would be a major plus
- Experience with software security, encryption and key management would be an advantage
