Senior Software Engineer - Front End Development - Pharma - Switzerlan

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER required to work on a project for a major pharmaceutical in Switzerland.

Software engineer will be an integral part of a small but senior development team charged with building a first class web portal. The system will be comprised of both internally (Intranet) and externally (Internet) facing components.

MAIN TASKS IN THIS POSITION:

- Develop high quality, modular, maintainable, readable, testable client side code for large projects
- Develop in cross browser environment (chrome/firefox/ie/safari), supporting multiple versions and disciplined approach to test thoroughly
- Analyze a particular feature and produce an accurate estimate, committing to date of completion
- Consume business requirements, solve problems and respond resourcefully to new demands, priorities and challenges
- Craft and clearly present Front End design to team members and demonstrate strengths and weaknesses of approaches gaining consensus
- Using Agile methodologies

YOUR PROFILE:

- 5 years + developing complex UI
- 8 years+ overall software engineering experience with a solid educational background
- Extensive Front End experience developing user interfaces with the latest client technologies
- Advanced Javascript, html5, CSS3, AngularJS, Bootstrap, nodejs, grunt
- Unit testing framework such as Jasmine
- Significant experience consuming RESTful web services
- Experience developing portals that are externally facing with specific attention to cyber-attack prevention
- Experience using SVN in a multi branch environment
- Working knowledge of SQL and oracle
- Remote work is possible

Location: Basel - Switzerland
Duration: 5 months with optional extension
