Senior software engineer
START DATE: ASAP
END DATE: 6 months (possible extension)
LOCATION: Halle
WORK REGIME: 5 days per week
LEVEL: senior (10 to 15 years of experience in development and architecture)
Assignment
CONTENT
- Bridge between developer and architect (developing hands-on + advising developers) but also guard the vision of architect daily.
- "Guru of the team" (project teams), not a leading position.
- Share knowledge and experience with team and take up a coaching role at the technical level
- Substitute when people are sick (not only hands on but also make sure that everybody knows what to do
- Will be involved very early in the process (someone who guides everyone in the right direction) and view full picture.
- Will work with business analyst but will look at it from a technical point of view.
- Sometimes, architect is not involved from the beginning, so the software engineer will take over.
- Has knowledge of different systems
TASKS
- Day starts with a team meeting: help solve problems
- Get in line with manager
- Develop hands on (50%)
- Review of others in the team
- Testing
- Consulting with business
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & TOOLS
- Java, JavaScript expert level, but also Oracle, Angular (because of coaching role)
- Prince 2 or PM bock
SOFT SKILLS
- Coaching skills
- Communicative
- Being able to let go when architect has another solution
