Senior Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Engineers in this position will work on a multi discipline team, interfacing with software, mechanical and manufacturing engineers.
- Engineers at this level will work as technical contributors on an electrical development team under the direction of a lead electrical engineer.
- Engineers at this level are expected to provide resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of a variety of factors.
- The complete electrical development lifecycle including schematic capture, design, and design review coordination is expected to be followed.
- In addition, this resource can also provide assistance to the Copperhead team due to similarities in the architecture.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Experience with Embedded microprocessors, memory systems, analog circuits, schematic capture and high-speed PCB layout best practices.
- Knowledge of data capture devices such as imagers (CCD/CMOS), Laser scanners, magnetic swipe readers, radios, biometric devices, etc. a plus.
- Experience in product development.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Advanced troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 6+ years engineering experience
