SUMMARY:

The Software Engineer will work on the Course Engine Team, and will have responsibility for the development of the company's core eLearning suite of products and implementing the roadmap for these products. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in the design and development of course engine software solutions as a part of the company's eLearning product suite
- Work in an Agile team environment to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to specification with a high level of quality
- Develop innovative software in small teams using cutting-edge technologies, with an emphasis on HTML5, JavaScript and .NET
- Participate in the design and recommend architectural direction for new module and feature development
- Work with Product Owners to estimate development and testing time for requirements identified in the form of backlog items and documented defects
- Develop automated unit tests
- Provide input into process improvements and technology platforms
- Work in a collaborative development environment
- Complete additional projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field
- 5+ years of JavaScript development experience, including Angular, Ember, Durandal, ExtJS
- Experience with responsive design using HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with ASP.NET, C# and related technologies
- Experience designing and developing cross-browser and platform solutions
- Experience with distributed component technologies (REST, WebAPI)
- Experience with native mobile technologies (iOS, Android, Windows Phone)
- Experience with Continuous Integration and build/deployment automation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management
- Results-driven and have a goal oriented attitude, as well as be conscientious about producing the highest quality of work
