Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer required to join the software development team and advance Data Links avionics software products. Initially this role will be with a team starting a new development cycle of a Tactical Processor mission system. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the development and verification of avionics software to DO-178B standards.

Typical activities will include:
Requirements analysis using DOORS and UML.
Design using UML.
Implementation using Ada and C.
Verification.
Controlled configuration.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Specifically, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of Link 16 standards, Data Links terminals and equipment, and competence in SW implementation programmes in the domain.
Significant experience, and demonstrable competence working across the software life cycle.
DOORS requirements capture.
UML analysis and design.
Ada and C languages.
Embedded software.
Link 16 domain knowledge.

Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
