Senior Software Engineer

Will be responsible for the development of adaptive streaming protocol algorithms and their software implementation on a high performance multiprocessor Embedded system. Key duties will include the analysis and characterization of network topologies and bottlenecks and software development of transcoding and streaming protocols across multiple mobile platforms. Will also act as a resource for resolving customer and product integration issues and will support follow-on opportunities for the next generation. Will work on developing more efficient ways to format video to stream across multiple networks to portable devices.

SKILLS:

- C/C++
- Embedded Linux
- TCP/IP
- Need in depth knowledge of programming/OS/Networking; Networking debugging skills (WireShark, libpcap, tcpdump, etc.)
- HTTP Streaming (HLS and Smooth Streaming). Strongly desire video streaming expertise, specifically video compression expertise, how to send videos across the network; Video compression expertise highly desirable

- DLNA/DTCP
- Web Services (XML, CGI, HTML5, Javascript)
- Linux Shell commands and Scripting
- Team player and self motivator with strong written and oral communication skills
- Be able to work well with a diverse team in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- BS EE or BS CS and 5+ years experience is required.
- "Upper crust" R&D capabilities, innovateknowledge of how these devices interact with the server/how iOS & HLS interact is good.
- Intertwining video streaming expertise and video compression technique such as user interface menus and streaming video to a portable device
