Senior Software Engineer - .NET Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Leads one or more small teams through the software development life cycle including requirements, design, coding, and unit test.
- Leads onshore and offshore teams with a focus on on-time delivery and software quality.
- Understands marketing requirements and convert them into engineering specifications.
- Interacts with other development teams and clearly defines interfaces and manages dependencies effectively.
- Collaborates with co-workers and subcontractors in cross-functional teams that are co-located or in remote environments. {c}{s}

SKILLS

Must have 6-8 years of experience as a Senior.NET Developer and experience with Microsoft technologies, C#, Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 (WCF, WPF and WF competence is crucial). Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Team Edition experience required. Strong programming skills a must; expertise in C# and.NET is required. Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Automated Unit Tests (ideally with VS 2010 but nUnit or similar also acceptable) necessary. Must have knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in cross-functional team environments is necessary. Familiarity with Microsoft Reporting Services and Analysis Services is a plus. Experience with Agile Software Development practices is also desirable. Experience in Agile processes and SCRUM methodologies is a strong plus. Public Safety domain knowledge is not required but is a strong plus.
