Senior Software Developer (C++ & Java) German Speaking Essential

SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (C++ & JAVA)

My client, a private bank based in Zurich are urgently looking for an experienced Software Developer skilled in both C++ and Java. You must be experienced developing banking applications, preferably for trading as you'll be developing tools and applications to support the trading desks of the bank.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

- Task description/definition of delivery standards
- Development of services for the trading tools in JAVA or C++.
- Maintaining and continuously improving existing software.
- Designing and integrating solutions to meet new business requirements
- Providing third level support and user training
- Liaising with key business and IT stakeholders

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

ESSENTIAL

- Several years of working experience in developing banking applications, preferable for trading.
- Several years of experience in Object-oriented Programming in C++ and Java
- Hands-on experience in Visual C++, QT, Core Java and related utilities/libraries, Spring Framework, JMS, JPA, Maven, Eclipse
- Experience in modelling relational databases, Oracle, Hibernate, JDBC
- Very good understanding of financial products, in particular of FX Options
- Experience in integrating financial models

PREFERABLE

- Experience in messaging (IBM MQ, Active MQ), and message formats (JSON, Thrift)
- Knowledge of financial market data and data feeds

QUALIFICATIONS

University or FH degree in Computer Science
