SUMMARY:
Our client in the logistics industry is looking for a Sr. Software Developer to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot their thick client applications. These applications are at the forefront of the organization and drive their business. This candidate will have a good understanding of end-to-end SDLC, gathering requirements to develop new enhancements, building the wireframes, performing the acceptance testing, and deploying to desktop and mobile clients. This candidate will have complete ownership of the business application.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Assist other developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications.
-Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
-Research and document requirements of software users.
-Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
-Perform software improvements and upgrades as directed by departmental leaders.
-Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
-Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
-Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
-Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process.
-Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
-Install software products for end users as required.
-Write programming in Mobile application development, Desktop application development and Web applications to enhance functionality and/or appearance as necessary.
-Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
-Maintain a working knowledge of advances and trends in programming and technology.
-Ability to work varied hours to accommodate operational needs and provide after-hours support as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-5-7 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
-EXPERIENCE DEVELOPING WINDOWS DESKTOP CLIENTS, THICK CLIENT APPLICATIONS, BUSINESS LOGIC, DATA ACCESS LAYERS, TROUBLESHOOTING PROCESSES, AND DE-BUGGING DATA FLOWS
-EXPERIENCE WITH MICROSOFT DEVELOPMENT TECHNOLOGIES: VB.NET, WINFORMS, T-SQL, SQL SERVER, SSRSMCSD PREFERRED
