SENIOR SOCIAL MEDIA CONSULTANT/STRATEGIST

My clients are a leading Charity in the UK. They are currently about to embark on an exciting Digital Transformation project.

My client is currently looking for a Senior Social Media Consultant/Strategist to join their Communications team and support this major transformation.

As the Senior Social Media Consultant/Strategist you be responsible for the on-going strategy & development of the social business strategy, which will see social media, channels and platforms playing an increasingly important role.

The chosen candidate will ideally have worked within the NHS/health policy/fundraising environment before.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Broaden the Charity's messaging in social media and channels
- Review current reach tactics and optimise social channels
- Increase reach through key campaigns
- Leverage social media as a retention hook during key campaigns
- Commissioning Round campaign targeting NHS Commissioners, health and B2B audiences
- Drive and support brand strategy re-launch through supporting issues platform
- Supporting staff development in social media
- Develop the Charity's approach to Social media as a communications platform in preparation brand re-launch (October 2014)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

We are looking for a highly experienced and collaborative social media consultant, able to work across teams and stakeholders within the Charity to develop recommendations:

You should be highly skilled in:

- Social business development
- Developing external marketing campaigns that fully leverage the opportunities of social channels and media and deliver clear ROI
- providing strategic and technical understanding of social platforms
- Developing strategic frameworks and dashboards to report the value of social activity in brand
- Building awareness, capabilities and competencies for the delivery of a fully integrated social strategy
- Helping to identify and action 'what next' in social media, digitally lead integrated

You:

- Strategic thinker with highly developed analytical skills and problem solving abilities
- Commercial acumen
- Excellent skills in cross-departmental, multi-stakeholder social media management
- Communication skills - excellent oral, written and presentation
- Strong leadership and line management skills
- Excellent skills in managing multiple stakeholders
- Integrated and digital marketing strategies and tactics
- In-depth knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms and technologies
- Knowledge of business and media management
- Knowledge of paid for advertising across social media.
- In-depth knowledge of monitoring, reporting and management tools, both free and paid for.
- Good knowledge of digital marketing and project delivery across channels
- Developing integrated social strategies
- Educated to first degree level (minimum) ideally, in one of the following: business, marketing, psychology, systems or related field
- Proven digital/integrated marketing experience focussed primarily on social media marketing
- Can evidence development and adoption of social strategies in commercial, communications and customer service contexts
- Proven experience managing social media platforms
