Senior Silverlight .NET C# Developer

My existing client is looking for a C# .NET & Silverlight Developer to work in London on an initial 3 month contract

Job Details
The Senior Developer is the key contributor for Microsoft team who facilitates code productivity and quality using technology knowledge, problem solving skills and innovative ideas. The Senior Developer is responsible for producing the code that adheres to coding standards and continuously improved to deliver desire business requirements with high level of quality.
This role demands someone with high analytical ability and who is highly committed and motivated. The person should have good communication skills, excellent at removing impediments and breaking down complex tasks into simple easy to complete milestones, willing to jump in and solve the problem.

Key Responsibilities
How you will influence:
*Solve complex business problems using technical knowledge
*Deliver the application feature using shortest possible lead time
*Improve the overall code base of the applications by ensuring compliance to coding standards and guidelines
What you will be doing:
*Development and Support of C#, Silverlight based applications
*Development and Support of SOA Services over WCF
*Developing data layers using ADO.Net entity framework
*Unit Testing of C# code and SL applications using Microsoft testing framework
*Performing peer reviews
*Creating and maintaining Continuous Integration builds
*Documentation of Low Level Design
*Deployment and Packaging of Silverlight based applications

Skills and Qualifications
What we need:
*Substantial technology experience in taking Development of complex applications
*Deep understanding of .NET technologies C# 3.5 or higher, WPF/Silverlight, WCF, Automated Unit Testing
*Experience in using development tools such as Visual Studio 2010 or higher, configuration and design tools such as TFS, Visio, UML etc
*Strong hold over Object Oriented Programming principles
*Strong ability on converting business requirements into Silverlight/XAML based applications
*A good understanding of the Applications Lifecycle Management(ALM), with full lifecycle experience, from design through to development, testing and deployment
*A good understanding over eXtreme programming/practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Pair programming, Test Drive Development
*Strong working experience over Design Patterns such as Factory, Abstract Factory, Strategy, MVVM etc
*Strong working experience over Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control principles
*Work experience in SQL Server 2008 or higher
*Very strong communication skills are required. . Must be capable of interacting with solution architects, other technology teams to identify technology opportunities
Education and Experience
*Requires Bachelors in Engineering Degree or equivalent, and strong relevant professional experience.
