We are currently recruiting for a SENIOR NETWORK/SEWER TECHNICIAN to ensure the effective operation of the Sewerage Network by proactively focusing on the needs of the customer by delivering a right first time solution and implementing initiatives aimed at improving performance and operation of the sewerage network.

The role will include being part of a regional standby Rota which operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Role may include working across different catchments or regions as required.

SENIOR NETWORK/SEWER TECHNICIAN ROLE

- Proactively manage and enhance both the internal teams and external contractor relationships
- Ensure all flooding incidents have been dealt with and investigated and where necessary appropriate mitigation measures are put in place to prevent a reoccurrence.
- Investigate and audit all repeat incidents to ensure correct identification of the root cause and appropriate action has been taken to mitigate the risk of further repeats.
- Identify all known and potential 'Hot Spots' within the area and develop and maintain effective contingency measures to minimise impact on customers and the environment in the event of flooding
- Identify asset investment requirements and any residual risks arising from operational activities and record details on the companies risk management database.
- Provide operational and technical input into the capital investment process to ensure end product is compatible with operational needs and maintenance practices.
- Work closely with external contact partners to agree nature and extent of complex repairs and other exceptional work items.

SENIOR NETWORK/SEWER TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS

- Ideally a knowledge and understanding of the operation and maintenance of gravity sewerage systems, sewers/sewerage networks or drainage industry preferred although not essential
- Proven experience of building and developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience of building and developing effective relationships with customers, external bodies, contractors, and colleagues.
- NRSWA Qualification or High pressure sewer jetting
