Senior Server Developer

Our client is a leader in industrial automation seeking an experienced Server Developer to join the Model Predictive Control (MPC) product team. We are looking for a self-starting, goal-oriented individual able to turn high-level requirements into clean, fast, and efficient distributed processes used to manage the runtime and data generation of complex MPC solutions. The position offers the individual a high degree of autonomy in the analysis of features, implementation of software, and incorporation of modern technologies into the product.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years solid Java experience
- Extensive experience designing distributed systems using a variety of messaging mediums (RMI, REST, JMS/AMQP)
- Solid knowledge of the Spring framework, including Web MVC and AOP
- Experience with web application Servers such as Tomcat, Jetty or Glassfish
- Experience designing for performance for high-throughput, large data-oriented systems
- Production system debugging experience
- Understanding of design for testability and experience with unit testing frameworks (junit, mockito, hamcrest)
- Proficiency collaborating in an Agile environment with other Senior Developers

This contract position is expected to be 3 months in duration.
