SENIOR SECURITY AND NETWORK SPECIALIST (CISCO, INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECTURE)

The contract is with a large consultancy based in Brussels to be on assignment at a European site in Den Haag, Netherlands. The client is seeking a Senior Security and Network Specialist to assist with design, deployment, auditing, operation and testing of IT security systems. The solution is based on Java technology.

Tasks:

Security Officer Liaison (proposals for IT security procedures/Identification and minimisation of security risks)
Internal point of contact for operational ICT concerns
Monitoring IT Operations Centre's progress and managing deadlines
Central point of contact for IT related questions and solutions
Together with Architects, establishing and developing the operational IT architecture
Analysis and design of new network solutions
Intervention in (complex) problems (identification, analysis and solution)
Support the team lead in Operations and the architect with achievement of connexion (countries) and/or services
Design and breakdown in detail activities of changes to the existing network as a result of the goals from IT Operations Centre
Knowledge transfer to internal staff
Periodic reporting and documentation of aforementioned points

Experience - Mandatory

. Min 8 years experience in Network administration and infrastructure architecture

. Participation in a minimum of 4 projects involving network architecture in public administrations

. Degree in technical/scientific studies (ie. Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)

. Excellent working knowledge of English - written and spoken
