Senior Scientist

We are recruiting for an experienced analytical scientist within Biologics with extensive experience in Quality. You will design, plan, perform, interpret and report results of scientific experiments for the preparation and timely delivery of drug substances (DS), drug products (DP).

Activities:
1 Provide scientific and technical guidance. Coach team members as needed.
2 Contribute to the setup and optimization of infrastructure or specialized facilities eg cell culture or biosafety labs as an expert.
3 Generate scientific documents to hand over to internal and/or external partners (eg, TechOps, authorities, external companies) and support generation of international registration documents. 4 Contribute to risk analyses and/or peer review and project challenge meetings.
5 Interact/collaborate with other groups/functions to facilitate validations, transfer of knowledge/analytical procedures and deliveries of DS and/or DP.
6 Give guidance to team members and work according to appropriate SOP's, GMP, OQM, HSE, ISEC 7 Evaluate/qualify new lab equipment and prepare CAR and USR if applicable.
8 Report and present scientific results internally and contribute to presentations.
9 Contribute to maintenance of infrastructure/equipment.
10 Actively contributes to team goals.
11 Ensure all own activities are aligned with overall drug development/QC process.

REQUIREMENTS:

Desirable: Advanced degree in a scientific or relevant discipline (Ph.D. or equivalent)

Languages: Fluent English is a must, German or French advantageous

Experience:
Ø Successfully demonstrated several years (minimum of 3 years) of directly related experience as scientist or Ph.D. (0 years' experience) or equivalent.
Ø Solid knowledge of cGMP
Ø Broad scientific or technical knowledge in a specific area.
Ø Adequate understanding of development/QC processes in own function.
Ø Advanced knowledge of laboratory and/or technical tools.
Ø Good knowledge of software and computer tools.
Ø Good presentation skills and scientific/technical writing skills.
Ø Good communication skills, basic coaching skills
