Senior Scientist

In this key scientific role, you will be accountable for driving efforts to develop and validate new biomarker assays, reagents, and technology platforms, as well as improve existing platforms. As a senior contributor to the R&D pipeline, you will be focused on developing research-use and diagnostic products serving the life sciences and clinical markets and ensuring product quality based on thorough science.

Specific duties include:
• Lead multiple product development projects from feasibility to launch, including solving complex research, development, and sustaining challenges.
• Develop and validate research-use and diagnostic products, including experimental design, assessing product manufacturability, optimizing product stability, and ensuring adequate supply of critical raw materials.
• Create, develop, and optimize new reagents and kits relating to molecular biology.
• Collaborate with team members to find applications within product focus areas and suggest product improvement and new product ideas.
• Support the stage-gate new product introduction process with individual and team projects, and interface with manufacturing to transition production.
• Serve as the technical lead on cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.
• Maintain a high level of professional scientific expertise through familiarity with current scientific literature and attendance at scientific seminars and conferences.
• Write documentation, including product specification sheets and inserts.
• Maintain complete, neat, and accurate lab notebooks and other records.
