Senior Scientist

Harvey Nash is looking for a Senior Scientist for a 12 month project in Switzerland.

The role is for a candidate to design, plan, perform, interpret and report results of scientific experiments for the preparation timely delivery of drug products (DP), processes and procedures within a multifunctional project team coordinated by a Project Leader.

You are responsible for:
- Meeting quality, quantity and timelines in all assigned projects
- Providing scientific and technical guidance to peers and training of new apprentices and coaching team members
- Handling of Syringe, vial and ampoule filling machines, Lyophilisator and various filling pumps (Time-Pressure, Piston & Peristaltic)
- Maintenance of various Laboratory equipment's
- Ordering essential laboratory equipment's and consumables with internal SAP ordering tool
- Evaluations of new laboratory equipment, technologies and prepare CAR and USR documents
- Reporting and presenting scientific/technical results in internal Group Meetings and Events
- Giving guidance to team members and work according to appropriate SOP's - Authored SOP for Highly Active Laboratory
- Planning and refurbishment of Technical Labs in the department
- Supporting all activities related to Shipment/Logistics of Drug Product & Packaged Product to various Contractors & Collaborators
- Supporting the Group in troubleshooting of various Process Development activities leading to efficiency and productivity increase

Requirements

- Successfully demonstrated several years (minimum of 3 years) of directly related experience as scientist or Ph.D. (0 years' experience) or equivalent
- Minimum: Technician with continuing education (EU) or BS/MS or equivalent
- Desirable: Advanced degree in a scientific or relevant discipline (Ph.D. or equivalent)
- Broad scientific or technical knowledge in a specific area
- Adequate understanding of development processes in own function
- Advanced knowledge of laboratory and/or technical tools
- Good knowledge of software and computer tools
- Proficient in literature searches
- Good presentation skills and scientific/technical writing skills
- Good communication skills, basic coaching skills
- Good knowledge of English (oral and written). Desirable knowledge of site language
