Senior SAS Specialist with Oracle Experience

Yoh has an exciting contract opportunity for a talented SENIOR SAS SPECIALIST WITH ORACLE EXPERIENCE to join our client located in Norristown, PA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The SAS Support Specialist will be working within our client's Business Intelligence team and is primarily responsible for supporting the existing SAS/Oracle environment. This position requires strong customer focus and prompt handling of various issues as they arise (job failures, connectivity, permissions, etc.). The qualified candidate will support hundreds of SAS/Oracle batch jobs that load the CLIENT's data warehouse. This is a senior role with high visibility requiring very strong knowledge of overall batch and ad hoc SAS environments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Daily support of SAS/Oracle Batch jobs
- Daily support of SAS/Oracle Ad hoc customers
- Support as required SAS/Oracle development efforts for the business team
- Support as required SAS Admin server maintenance and support
- Developing and debugging complex SAS ETL against the Oracle database
- Work with team members to define, document, and develop software
- Will support multiple projects concurrently

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- B.S. degree in computer science or equivalent preferred
- Strong SAS base, macros and Access to Oracle experience
- Strong understanding of the Oracle database and SQL programming language
- Experience working with formal SDLC and change management tools (Clearquest, etc.)
- Solid understanding of SAS/Oracle performance tuning techniques
- Experience automating complex processes into streamlined applications
- Strong customer and business focus. Strong documentation and communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality work products with attention to detail
- SAS admin with experience installing/administrating SAS Servers preferred
- Working knowledge of one of more of the following is preferred: SAS Management Console, SAS Metadata Server and Repository, Job Scheduling and Load Balancing
