The Role:

My client is looking to appoint a SAP SRM Consultant for a 3 to 6 months contract period in Canberra with option to extend. The work will be a mixture of project development and support work as requirements dictate and will involve working with my client's Government customers. The defined scope of work will be discussed in more detail with suitable applicants who will be initially interviewed via telephone or in person but the work will embrace:

Main Responsibilities:

- Designing and developing high quality SAP business solutions.
- Evaluating customers' business needs, thus contributing to strategic planning of SAP systems facilities and technology.
- Being accountable for defined SAP assignments often involving immediate action or short term planning of resources.
- Planning and coordinating resources necessary to complete SAP implementation.

Liaising with major customers during preliminary installation and testing of developed SAP solutions/products.

Required Background:

- Must be an Australian citizen and must have Baseline Government clearance
- Specialist knowledge of at least one functional area or module (SAP SRM), coupled with strong analytical and technical ABAP skills.
- SAP SRM (Procure to Pay, Catalogue Management, Supplier Collaboration, Supplier Evaluation, Contract Management, Centralised Sourcing) Material Management, Public Sector Management Solution.
- Tertiary level qualifications coupled with at least 7-10 years of experience in business management, IT, systems integration consulting or design with more than 6 years SAP project implementation experience. Recognised as leading in specialty area.
- Good understanding of broad business issues.
- Ability to lead IT professionals.
- Customer facing skills and customer management skills
