Senior SAP SCM Solution Architect, ASAP Until 31.8.2017, Feedback plea

For a customer in the pharmaceutical industry in Basel, Switzerland, we are looking for a Senior SAP SCM Solution Architect as follows:

Role: SAP SCM SOLUTION ARCHITECT

Start: ASAP

End: 31.8.2017 (extension is possible)

Utilization: 100%, 5 days/week

Remote work: 1 day/week would be possible prior to approval

Location: Basel, Switzerland

Traveling: 10%, mainly to South America and Poland

PROJECT BACKGROUND:

The Senior SAP SCM Solution Architect joins a team of talented, creative, and motivated Systems Analysts, Solution Architects, Project and People Managers, who work on the project within the Pharma IT ERP Demand-to-Supply organization (there is a team of 7-8 people the candidate will work closely with). We are looking for someone who can join the team ASAP to help shaping System Design definition and drive Prototype activities in the European Regional SAP ERP system.
The project is about to redefine the operating model related to Artworks (printed packaging materials - ie patient information leaflet that can be found in the drug package). Managing a high number of artwork changes of Drug Products through our customer's supply chain is a complex process which shall be simplified by the project. It is planned to be achieved via process simplification and interlinked best-in-class informatics infrastructure to make the systems, involved in the processes, more user-friendly and to enable an increased throughput of artworks changes. The project is currently in the Scoping phase and is about to ramp up rapidly in the Informatics side.
The position reports functionally to the IT Project Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

Drive ERP System Design activities based on user requirements and draft process map via collaborating with the Solution Architects of the four Regional ERPs (Europe/LATAM/APAC/NA) by translating business needs into applicable functional specification(s).
Conduct several workshops with the business/IT SMEs (ie Design Review; Solution Review sessions)
Collaborate with other teams - ie with SAP APO/SAP BPM Solution Architects - to understand the impact to these systems.
Drive Prototype activities in the European's- and LATAM's ERP System to validate the proposed Design
Drive the Solution Build activities based on defined Design via collaborating with the Solution Architects/Developers of the four Regional ERPs (Europe/LATAM/APAC/NA) by following a "develop once - implement many" concept.
Define potential Data Migration/preparation requirements
Define cut-over activities to ensure successful deployment of solution into Productive Systems.
The candidate has experience working in a multi-cultural, global (non co-located) work teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

>9 years of SAP SCM (Supply Chain Management) experience and extended knowledge
SAP Solution Architect knowledge, able to define solutions and support other SAP specialists in the implementation (able to define the best possible architecture)
Detailed knowledge of supply chain processes required
Expert in SAP PP/PI and MM modules
Experience as a consultant, functional expert, or similar role highly desirable
Experience conducting large-scale requirements and design sessions with business process owners
Business process analysis and consulting experience
Experience managing demanding customer needs
Must be a self-starter, results-oriented and have a track record of timely, high-quality deliverable
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other validated environment is a must
Speaking and writing fluently in English is a must

Eligible to work in Switzerland (Swiss or EU citizen or having permit to work in Switzerland)

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience with SAP APO

German language skills
